Hello and welcome to VampireNonsense.com (or simply Vampire Nonsense) a little vampire-themed blog run by me, Catherine Slavova.
Over the years I have done a fair few vampire-related things – most notably the pair of podcasts The Bloodsucking Feminists and Fanthology – but for the most part my vampire fang-girling (ha ha) has been scattered across my various social media and personal endeavors, with never enough room to really expand on the topic without making it seem like a takeover.
Having one place for all of my vampire nonsense, as I call it in my day to day, not only lets me focus without feeling like I’ve wandered away from the original purpose of the site but also enables me to, you know, go full-fanged into this whole vampire thing. Book? Yep. Movie and TV talk? Yep. Video games? You’ll see me play them on Twitch. Folklore? Yep. Vampire tourism? That too. Vampire musicals? You got a couple of hours?
